The mystery of Magical Deer
Once there was a magical deer living in the abode of Heaven. He looked from above that a swan was having seeds while a crow was eating pearls. He became confused to see this as pearls should be eaten by swan and seeds are food of crow. After taking permission from God, the magical deer went down on the Earth to find out the reality.
He went to the crow who was sitting in his nest above the pearls, crowing. He ignored the magical deer as he approached him.
'Oh mighty Crow, I am amazed to see your splendor. Even after being a crow, God has given you so many pearls.'
It pestered the crow so much. He stopped the magical deer in between
'So what? That does not mean I am going to give you one. And who are you - poor sleak deer, who eats grass and thinks everything good is done by God. How dare you come near me?'
The magical deer was very disappointed at his behavior. The crow's pride did not let the deer share the most magical knowledge he was having with him. Feeling the gloominess in heart, he went away from there.
Soon, he found the swan he had seen from heaven. The swan was having seeds. As soon as he saw the magical deer, he offered him some seeds. The magical deer was very delighted to see swan's spirit of service.
'Oh kind-hearted swan, I am melted to see this condition of yours. Even after being a swan and so much generous, you are eating only seeds while you deserve pearls instead. And that proud crow has pearls. I am heart-broken to see this.'
The swan smiled at the magical deer.
He said,'Even after eating seeds, I will remain a swan and will not become a crow. Similarly, even after having pearls the crow will not become a swan. This is the justice of God.'
The magical deer was very delighted to hear this and was impressed to see his confidence. Just when, crow reached there. He started crying and pleading before the magical deer.
'Oh Magical Deer, please forgive me. My behavior was not good for you. I did not know that you are not a normal deer. You are a magical one. After you left my nest, all my pearls got converted into pebbles. Please once again come to my place. I promise I will treat you with due respect.'
'Magical?' said the swan as he looked confused.
The magical deer thought that his secret was revealed and therefore, he decided to go from there
'Blessings!' he said to the swan and went away to Heaven.
The crow felt very disappointed and went away from there and the swan was rejoicing at the last words of the magical deer - Blessings. Just when , the swan noticed that his whole nest was filled with pearls.
He thanked God and the magical deer and smiled to himself.
SPIRIT OF SERVICE DOES NOT DEPEND ON WHAT YOU OFFER. RATHER IT MEANS OFFERING WHAT YOU HAVE. DO YOU AGREE?
